Concordia Lutheran Church is located in Sikeston, MO.
Concordia Lutheran has existed in Sikeston since 1919. With nearly a century of service to God in this community, we look forward to continuing to announce the Good News of God’s love in Jesus Christ to the people of Sikeston and surrounding communities!
With an average worship attendance of 130+, the congregation has a family atmosphere about it. We genuinely love one another here, and we seek to share that love with any and all newcomers in our midst.
A Family Life Center, which will supplement our Worship Building and our Education Building, will enable us to expand our ministry to and with the people of Sikeston. The Family Life Center is slated for construction in late 2001 and early 2002.
Get to know us! Our “mission statement” is: “A Family of Believers in Jesus Christ Dedicated to Bringing the Gospel of Jesus Christ to Everyone!” Come be a part of our loving family! Blessing for YOUR spiritual life is guaranteed!
Our Pastor, the Rev. A. J. Wollenburg, is a 1979 graduate of Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, MO. After serving three other churches in Missouri, Illinois, and Iowa, he came to Sikeston in June 2000. He brings 20+ years of pastoral ministry experience in: preaching, pastoral counsel, visitation, preparing and leading Christian Bible studies, preparing and leading Christian worship, and community outreach. With a genuine love for God and a sincere burden for individual souls, he leads and serves in an energetic way.

God’s people gather here for worship! What a joy it is to be in God’s presence . . . and to be blessed by His holy Word! Every Sunday worship is at 10:30 a.m. (Holy Communion on the 1st, 3rd, & 5th Sundays), plus on Wednesday evenings during Advent and Lent, and special holiday times (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Ascension Day, and others).
Our Jr. Confirmation class at an all-night “lock-in”. We spent time together in fellowship, fun, study, and worship! We consider the education of our youth to be of utmost importance – accordingly, we are committed to quality spiritual education and to growing relationships with the children and youth of our congregation and our community!
Our ladies gather occasionally for a “prayer breakfast.” After the earthly food we enjoy the spiritual food! Our Lutheran Women’s Missionary League (LWML) also participates in the International LWML, known for its support of mission work and for its efforts to grow women in the truths of God’s Word.
One of the fellowship activities of our congregation, members of the parish and their guests attend a “progressive dinner” at least once each year.
Puppet shows for our Sunday School openings entertain young and old as well as driving home the point of the lesson. Some of the puppet lessons are written by members of our senior High youth, while others are written by one of our youth counselors!
Here are members of the Sr. High Youth Group (and some counselors) after the 1 a.m. worship service at an overnight fellowship of gymnasium time, movies, food, fellowship, games, and Bible study.
